Welcome to Reflections from Menominee
REFLECTIONS on Faith, Governance, and Well-being -- Menominee, MI. This site is dedicated to insights on faith, governance, and how it affects the well-being of citizens in a community. It is a platform that aims to promote the city and inspire city residents to get involved. To encourage citizens to root out the evil of marijuana stores that have entered the city by attending city council meetings and speaking up. Every voter is encouraged to learn the names of their respective ward city council members and know his/her position regarding the addictive drug marijuana in the city. Vote out those in favor of marijuana stores. Vote for city council members and candidates who oppose the presence of them.

Menominee is located in the upper peninsula of Michigan. It's in a stretch of territory located above Wisconsin. It's connected to the main territory of Michigan by the Mackinac Bridge. It seems as if it should be part of Wisconsin rather than Michigan as it is remote from the main of Michigan. However since the residents here are in the U.P. (upper peninsula) and so are U.P.'r that word becomes "yooper" ; and so we are yoopers and I am a "yooper."

WHO I AM
I Urban Michael Ebert ("Mike" "Michael") reside approximately 3 miles outside of Menominee city limits, am active in Menominee and consider Menominee my city. I'm a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee, with a sailboat, the Santa Maria, in Menominee Marina, my wife Laura is buried in Menominee Riverside Cemetery, and me owning a lot next to my wife's gravesite with my name already on the tombstone next to hers. Laura passed away July 5, 2021 and greatly missed.

I am appalled at the direction the Menominee City Council has taken authorizing unlimited marijuana stores in the city.
Menominee has a population of a little over eight thousand. There are 9 marijuana stores currently in the city and more coming. Why? Menominee is a border town with the city of Marinette in Wisconsin. Mainette has a population a little over eleven thousand. Marijuana is illegal in Wisconsin so there is constant traffic drawn to Menominee's marijuana stores from all of northeastern Wisconsin.
